This sounds great. I'm looking forward to it.

Make sure you check out places like the Amiga Demoscene Archive, and more specifically, places like their top 100 ( http://ada.untergrund.net/charts.php ) so you know which demos to put into your first release.

The best bit of advice I can give is don't stop updating it. Too many of these Gamebase projects have died due to lack of updates. Every once in a while, add a demo or 2 and eventually you'll have an update worth releasing :)

Good luck!

demosbase Amiga

Tue Apr 10, 2007 8:46 pm

Hi All,

Well i have been working on this demobase and all is going well. :D

First i have downloaded all adf from Warlock!

I guess it's about 800 adf demos to start with 8)

I have also checked the bttr ftp and downloaded about 20000 Files
from all demogroups..... well that's a lot!

I will sort out the dms and exe files to put in the gamebase later on.
(not the first release).

When i have this demobase with approx 800 adf demos with screenshot
and cracking group i will need a few testers

Any volenteers who know how to config the demos if they don't work
properly(most of the demos are working well),just some tweaking ONLY if it's really nec.

I think the second release will be more difficult because a lot of the dms and exe demos need different configs.

Let me know if you are interested in helping me!

Eventually i need a host also and a website would be great! :P

Regards

If you have any problems running demos, check out http://eab.abime.net/ . Chances are someone else has had the same problems and a solution has already been posted. If not, you can always ask for help there. The WinUAE developer (Toni Wilen) posts there regularly, so if your problem ends up being a WinUAE bug, he's there to fix it.
