you can change the keyboard map through the Autoexec.bat.
like i mentioned before.
But everyone will get a default mapped keyboard,
for whichever country you choose.
this isn't a problem for me as it's only going to get mapped in while running this emulator in GameBase.
it will need changes the Atom script to get it working.
---------------------
in the DOS-GB.INI also written by K.C.
it remaps keyboard if i edit these lines.
[dos]
keyboardlayout=auto
[autoexec]
KEYB GR 850
: this swaps my keyboard to German
: "Y" and "Z" keys on my keyboard are remapped
keyb US 437
: normal setup for me

this prog could also be helpful.
Keytweakv2.20 and v2.3.0 (Win7)

Can not start Gamebase Acorn Atom
Hi guys,
I am new to this forum but I am a proud owner of an Acorn Atom. I noticed the Acorn Atom database for Gamebase while surfing on the internet and it looks very interesting so I downloaded Gamebase v1.2 and the Atom database v1.01.
First I changed the paths to the right directories. Then when I started Gamebase, I got a message 'Run-time error 381: Invalid property array index' and the program stops.
After deleting the GFX directory, Gamebase will start but I get another message 'You need to download a newer version of Gamebase to run this database.'I tested it with Gamebase v1.0, v1.1 and v1.2 all with the same error message.
I saw that in the CONFIG table of the Acorn Atom database, the version was 2.8 and in other databases 2.5? I tried to convert the Atom table fields to similar ones in the C64 database but this did not work.
Can you help me to get the Acorn Atom Gamease running?

Hi KC,
please try latest beta of the "Main-GameBase" V1.3,
which can be downloaded here (full version) or here (update from older Gamebase version).
Lucky You
Do you also have cover/box-scans from any Games ?
So we can add them to this GameBase

Acorn Atom Gamebase v1.3
Hi Vicman
this one works fine!! Great job!
I will check my archive on useful stuff for gamebase.
There are also some Dutch sites with a lot of Acorn Atom info, but your forum blocks the addresses.
Let me know how I can inform you.
Greetings

fine, it works now !
maybe you can also tell me , if the "gamespeed" on the Videoclips is nearly o.k. ?
Or is it very different on your real Atom ?

Twin brother
Well, well .... a twin brother. It's a small world after al!!
K.C. are you a Atom user/owner? I live in Holland and I am a member of the Dutch Atom Usergroup and still active at the Atom front.
My Atom doesn't look like an Atom any more due to all expansions. It has a mouse interface with hardware pointer, I2C interface, ISA bus for 8-bits PC-cards like a modem or an ethernet card, sideways RAM and ROM, turbomode at 1,79 MHz, 40/80 column text card and a SD-card interface.
At the moment I am working at an Atom DOS ROM to read/write on a SD-card in cooperation with Charlie Robson. Charlie has developed the SD-card interface, nice piece of work!!
Greetings

Hi srnickolas,
line 85 in the script is only needed, when using xpadder also for other gamebases...
So, you can delete this, or set a ; first.
but i think the error is, because you don't use the latest Main-GameBase (Beta-update)
please look on the GB-GUI under Help/About....
should be :

here (full version) or here (update from older Gamebase version).
