743 game, very nice indeed! You might consider breaking the large download into 2 parts: Games (games, pgr, d64, cart) and all the other database/GameBase stuff (it also helps protect you legally). Also, it is unclear that there are 4 required games paths. GB64, for example, does not use the extras path for anything but extras, especially not for the primary game file.

The VICE v1.15 bug was not a GameBase bug, since it happened from the
command line without GB as well. It was a VICE bug.

Wow!

Wow keep up the great work!

I have been waiting a long time for someone to take on this project....

I hope you plan on adding all VIC-20 games. Do you have tons of games to add yet or are you all out and looking for more?

Cheers,

Matt

Just so you know, I'll be helping out with this project shortly hopefully, and getting some standardisation a la GB64 into it :)

Cool

Hi Mayhem,

That is really cool... There are tons of Compute!'s gazette and Compute! games missing, or with missing info in the current collection. I will try and help out when I can... A lot of those you can reference the Gamebase 64 Database. But be careful because the authors are sometimes different for the different platforms (the magazine issue and article is the same however for both the C64 and Vic 20 versions). Games like Frantic Fisherman, Goodbye Charlie, and many many others I see that have no data entered.

We should create a seperate forum for the Vic-20 database. I would help on and off (very little really), although I am very busy.

I think it is a very worthwhile project.

I have about 500 VIC 20 games for someone to assimilate into the current database. All zipped up and ready to go. I checked against the current Vic 20 gamebase and it is hit and miss. There are lots of games that we don't have yet. Send me a private message and I will send you the URL. All the work is done, even a .txt file which tells whether what type of file it is and how to run it. Thanks to the legendary Jez back in the day....

So whoever wants to assimilate them write me a private message and I will make them available for download!

Cheers,

Matt
