Transfering Gamebase to different machine

Wed Apr 20, 2005 7:03 am

Howdy, I want to transfer the Gamebase frontend with my 10,000 games to my other PC.

I'm not planning on adding anymore games, and I finished adding all screenshots, just the only things just incomplete is the game details, comments, etc.

So question is, after I transfered everything to my other machine, I
be using Gamebase on both computers. But now and then I'll still be updating the credits, notes, tabs, etc.

So what important files should I be continiously updating, to keep it up-to-date on my other machine ?

I believe that large .mdb file is one of them, any others ?

If you only make changes to the database then copying the .mdb file is enough.

Most GameBase settings like paths, etc are stored in the plain text .ini files in the same directory.

Agreed. The .mdb has the changes you've made, unless you've tweaked an ini file manually.
