GB64 and CCS64 3.4

Sat Nov 03, 2007 8:13 pm

Will there been an update for GB64 to allow it to work with CCS64 3.4? I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work with it. I assume a new GEMUS has to be released?

Go to menu GEMUS and select entry for CCS64 v3.
Click on BROWSE and point to the new location of the emulator.
That should make it!

You can also simply overwrite CCS64 with the new version.

To make the new version being auto-detected by the GEMUS setup wizard the file GEMUS.DAT needs to be updated with the CRC value of the new emulator version.

To update the GEMUS setup wizard simply extend the file GEMUS.DAT with following line:

Code: Select all

¬CCS64 v3.4¬http://www.ccs64.com¬¬CCS.exe¬523F18C5¬D64;G64;G41;T64;P00;TAP;PRG;CRT¬Y¬CCS64.txt¬c64.cfg¬

Still can't get it to work. I add the information to the GEMUS.DAT under the Commodore section. Still nothing. If I select 3.3 (no 3.4 is shown) and browse to the file, all I see is a BACK button.

Tick the box right next to the emulator you've selected and you'll see the "Finish" button. It's not very obvious at a glance as the box remains grey, which looks as if you couldn't tick it! :?

Also, I figured out why 3.4 wasn't showing up. Didn't realize there was a gemus.dat in the database folder. Oh well.

It works by detecting the 8 digit checksum of the EXE file and comparing it to what's in the DAT file.
