Question: Location of the Games and Custom Views

Sat Jan 12, 2008 2:03 pm

EDIT: I re-asked this in the GB Help and GB Collection Forum again (and got answered), because it is a more fitting forum for the question.

Hi!
I just installed GameBase and gbc_v05.
After some fiddling around it works great.
Here's my remarks and questions:

Why are the disks split into Dirs like 'a1, a2, a3' instead of just 'a, b, c'?

What is the reason and criteria to split up Dirs with same starting letter even more?

Why isn't this rather unusual Dir-Structure not mentioned in an NFO which comes with gbc_v05? It would spare some people the annoying time until they figure it out (if they do at all).

(I found out after several tries rescanning files, when I looked at the logfile.)

Can I chance the custom view so it only displays the zips I have installed currently? (dedected files)
SOLVED: Added Custom view: GameFilename Exists

Hope you can answer my questions. Sorry for ranting!
Gamebase looks good to me, thanks for it. I hope you can make it even better with the community.
