New beta...

http://www.leesti.com/gbv13b20100424.zip

Please run GBRegRun.exe the first time.

If you guys can test the repack that would be good. I can't believe the bug that was in there for single-runnable-file archives wasn't picked up until just recently! Maybe only a few people are using the repack feature.

whatsnew...
- Added error reporting for invalid keys sent to Run_Emulator_Send_Keys()
- k=v pairs can now have keystrokes to send the Run_Emulator_Send_Keys() function
- Fixed custom gfx\reviewrating gfx not showing up
- GameBase documentation removed from install, now points to http://www.bu22.com/wiki/ instead
- Now logging all GEMUS activity (when running a game) to Gemus.log
- Fixed repack bug where archives with a single runnable file inside wouldn't repack
- Took border off the 120x200 image in the about screen so it renders correctly
- Added text clipping on "most played game" in the about screen

This GEMUS line:

Code: Select all

If %varname_value% CONTAINS(*)
returns True if the k=v pair varname is not set.
Should be False IMO.

Nevermind, everything works well...
Of course the correct syntax is

Code: Select all

If Key_varname CONTAINS(*)

v1.3 (final) setups: -
http://www.leesti.com/gamebase-setup-v1.3-full.exe
http://www.leesti.com/gamebase-setup-v1.3-update.exe

Please please please can you guys test both of these. I have tested on Vista as that's all I am able to test on.

Testing the full setup on a clean install, and the update from v1.1 and v1.2 would be ideal if that's possible.

As soon as these tested and reported as working fine on winxp, vista and windows7, I'll release them officially on bu22.com, and sourceforge (including source code).

Thanks!

The installer looks for an installation of a previous Gamebase version.
If it finds one, it uses this folder to copy the Gamebase 1.3 files to.
On a clean system (without Gamebase installed) it will choose C:\Gamebase as installation folder.
I bet that you have Gamebase 1.2 installed in E:\GameBase 1.2

Full installation seems to work for me too without problems (WinXP Pro SP3).
