Best Music Player

Tue Jul 03, 2012 3:58 am

Hello, not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I was taking a look a bit at the music players and I found for example Deli Player, but seems to have some problems, this is the best music player recommended for most gamebases or exists another good option?

Thanks!

there are lots of players out there.
but i prefer dedicated payers for each sound format where possible.

Sidplay2w = SID (c64)
Ay_Emul = Ay (speccy)

WinAmp is a good all rounder, using plugins.
NSF (NES) for example.
But there are loads of others to choose from...

but everyone has there own opinion, of the BEST player.

Deliplayer does have issues with Win7. Some music files play fine, some won't start at all. Took me a while to figure that out when trying to get the Amiga gamebase to run on my new system, although I did run across posts somewhere that pointed out the compatiblity problems with Win7, although I think it was supposedly fine under Vista (I don't have a Vista machine). It ran fine on my WinXP machine.

I don't know if there is a 'best' player. I am primarily a gamebase user, and just use whatever the author of the gamebase chose to use.
