You'll need to download the whole Gamebase archive...

Transferring .TAP's

Thu Oct 15, 2009 8:14 pm

I just want to mention, I've had very good luck transferring .TAP files (C64 Tape Images) by simply converting them to .WAV's with TAPtoWAV and PRGtoTAP (toWAV), and recording them (In Mono) to a standard Stereo Cassette Deck!

If you're lucky enough to have a Commodore Tape Drive (Which I do), and willing to put up with SLOW loading times (Which I am), you can "Build" a fair software library for your 'REAL' C64! (And I HAVE! HAHA!)

Salute'

I also use tap2wav and i record the files on a mono recorder. Very high success rate.

By the way, is it possible to listen to such a tape on the computer with a playerpogramm like I made it in the past with a conventional cassette recorder. :D :D :D :D
