7 cities of gold issue?

Wed Jun 16, 2010 2:59 am

I recently was keyed into this great site and downloaded the game system for my xp pro laptop. So far, it works with the goonies, ghost busters and a few other game roms i have downloaded but one that i have been wanting to get back to playing was 7 cities of gold. I did not find it on this site to download so had to go c64 dot com. When i extract it and load up the game, it goes in ok, but as the old game did, has me make a world first (pressing the f3 button). once that is done it asks to reload the game, which the only way i see is exiting out and reloading it that way.
When i do that, and try to load the game it says incert world disk. where is that made? How can i get it saved in a specific slot?

It's available right here.

you don't need to make a MAP DISK
there is one already in the game archive.

in the game when you are asked to insert the MAP disk.

Press F10 to Open CCS64 Options Screen
Select 1541 Device 8...
move cursor over 7CITIES1.D64
Press F4 to Select Disk.

This will be at location C:\GBGame\0\ if running through Gamebase.
if not browse to where you have it.

Thanks for that assist. Now all i need to do is get either a game pad or joystick, as it is not (among several games i want to play) recognizing keypad entry.

you can play without a joypad,
follow these links for help.

setup keys to be used instead of a joypad

change ccs64 v3.8 script so joypad keys can be used in gamebase.
