Problems with gamebase64 and adverts in the extra folder

Tue Apr 05, 2011 6:55 am

Hi!

I can see all the images of the extras folders like the covers of the games but I can't see any of the adverts...
If I open them outside the gamebase clicking it in the image icon I can see the jpg's without problems, but if I try to open it in the gamebase program a "not valid image" text is shown instead of the picture.

I am using gamebase 64 v7 with 1.2 frontend (BU22) in Win XP Prof. 32 bits

All the pictures I have associated to open with picasa quick viewer.

I can't find the answer to this problem and I tried a lot of things and explored lots of setting pages in GB without success... Please can someone tell me what I need to change to make it work properly? This happened to someone apart of me?

Thanks in advance, and thanks also to the developers of this great database tool.

first update to Gamebase v1.3
it has a new PNGlib.dll

there maybe a conflict with picasa quick viewer.
change the default picture file settings to
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

and see how you get on.

ok!! I managed to install the v1.3 and I had the same problem. But I changed the JPG to be opened with the default viewer of windows XP and now it works. Many thanks!
