GB64 Downloading Games

Sun Jul 02, 2006 11:38 pm

Hi,

I was curious if anyone has a website posted in which you can download the GB C64 games in folders, such as downloading all games starting with the letter "S" for example.

Or, do all games need to be downloaded as single zip files?

Thanks,

Chris

Games are not distributed by the Gamebase team, because there are still a lot copyrighted games in it.
However, CD images that contain the complete Gamebase64 collection - games and extras included - are still circulating on e-mule. Do a search for gamebase and you will find 4 CD images for Gamebase V03.

Download e-mule from http://www.emule-project.net and install it with the default options.
Start it up and wait until there is a connection. Click the Search button and enter gamebase in the search field. Select Global Search and click on Start. Doubleclick every file you want to download (Gamebase V03, CD 1-4).
Note: downloading with e-mule is not so fast as Usenet. You have to wait some days or even weeks until all 4 downloads are completed.

Would just a regular FTP site be ok?

Well emule is a good option as K.C. mentioned above.
Regarding the time it takes to download the full set, it all depends on how many people is sharing, i guess this is a good moment to do it :)
