A lot of hosts are updating there php versions. This means sites with old php code won't work. I wonder if Lemon is using old depricated code that doesn't work with the latest php versions.

If yes, he either has to find a host that will keep using old php versions or update his code to work with the latest versions of php.

Latest news is that a new host has been found and testing is under way before the site goes live.

There is an alternative/temporary forum at www.melon64.com

Maybe that's why Retro Gamer is probably shifting off phpBB too...

Final testing for the new Lemon taking place.

And Da Snake, melon64 is only meant to be a temporary place for C64 fans to meet. Don't be so harsh.

Melon64 is OK, It's just a forum.
BTW, the Lemon sites lives again. Better late than never, 20 days is a long time without your daily visit.

Glad to hear. Been about 2 months since I found time to go there though. I always feel like I have to read through all the new posts.
I have a lot of respect for Gamebase creators, maintainers & supporters.

...and then they exceeded their hosting bandwidth!

Hopefully they'll be back again soon.

I've notified TNT, I have a sad feeling I know how this may go, as another site I mod on tried to swap to the same hosting company recently, and had to swap back as they exceeded bandwidth in under a day of going live again.

TNT's message on CSDb said there were several spiders trying to download the entire site's contents. Hence the slowness/bandwidth problems.

That and the bandwidth limit was set massively under what the contract was for. Hopefully everything should be okay now.
