VICE 1.14 and Elite ???

When the game starts after loading through "autostart disk/tape image" it freezes and says "Main CPU : JAM at $7F2B Start monitor ?" I have 3 downloaded versions of this game (all disk) and they all work with CCS64 but due to a couple of minor bugs with this emulator i thought id give VICE a try as most seem to think its better . When i use the latest CCS64 emulator it works but i lose the use of my keyboard ??? Any help appreciated , cheers , Steve , Plymouth UK

Please explain in detail what happens, since there are no known problems with the Elite copy you can get at Sabid (check Elite on this site) with VICE or CCS64.
