nostalgia.pl mirror

Fri Sep 12, 2003 4:25 pm

For some unknown reason, the folder with The Gamebase Collection on nostalgia.pl has been blocked with a password. I'm investigating what's going on...

Unfortunately, due to many leechers who had completely blocked the server (which is some commercial company's property), admin had to set a limit of simultaneous downloads to 30.

Some people were connecting every 0.1 sec trying to leech dozens of files at once... No comment.

Thank you very much, dear leechers!

sources

That is funny. I have over 50 sources on emule for CD 2 and 30 sources for CD 1.

did you do a GLOBAL search????? I have a feeling you were only searching on one rare server.....

EMULE is the method of choice for getting the isos.

maybe the admin tries to make the server a bit more leecher-proof :!:

I don't think so, as far as I know there are some DNS problems - I don't know what they are about and when they will be fixed and I really have no time nor motivation to investigate it any further. I've already sent enough e-mails to the admin concerning this damn server thing and I'm afraid there's nothing we can do except waiting for now.

Nostalgia is down, and will be up soon, but without gb64

Sun Nov 02, 2003 7:41 pm

Nostalgia server was dead, but soon will be alive, sadly, that without GB64 on it. Leeching caused blocking server, and Nostalgia will remove GB64 from their site for avoid future server dead.
