I started a thread a while ago about SidPlug not working in IE6, thus crapping on a nice feature of this web-site (i.e., the ability to listen to the SIDs). That thread evolved on to the benefits of Mozilla's Firebird browser.
If you don't want to change browsers (or can't, whatever...) here is an update:
To enable SidPlug in IE6 do the following:
*** WARNING *** I'm assuming you know what you're doing, I take no responsibility if you fk up your PC attempting this! This workaround MAY also compromise the security of your system, so on your head be it!
Using regedit go to:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{06DD38D3-D187-11CF-A80D-00C04FD74AD8}\Compatibility Flags
Change the value to 0 then restart IE. Play you favorite SID! Yeh!

i tested it and confirm that it also worked for me but i changed it back coz i'm using another browser but thats not impostant *g* |

Not really, I found the answer on the NoteWorthy composer (music notation software) site, since their plugin didn't work either.

Great! it works. I will keep my Firebird Browser, but it is great that IE6 users now can listen to the SIDs!

thanks for posting this.
a while back we also had this discussion on the lemon c64 forum until wazzaw came with the solution. but I couldn't find (or was just too lzay) back that thread.
