Ok, i got the database for c64 games v02. Ich downloaded a gamebase cd image from emule. it has several folders like 0, a1, a2 etc. I put thes folders in a folder called games and set the correct paths in the frontend. but...no games are found (and they are there) neither can they be verified. what am i doing wrong? is there a step by step instruction somewhere? couldnt find one?

ok to get this right.
if the actual game folders (0,a,a1,b.....) reside in a directory called games and this directory would be in the root directory of GB64, my path would be as follows C:\Gamebase\Games. I will not have to make a path for every game directory like
C:\Gamebase\Games\0
C:\Gamebase\Games\a
C:\Gamebase\Games\b
right?

Gamebase Frontend doesnt find games
Little Plugger had a similar sounding problem which developed out of a Run-time error 91. There was quite a bit of discussion on it, why not check the thread and see if it helps?

solved, new problem :-)
ok, got it up an running now.
thx for all the replies.
i had the games folder in a subfolder like :
c:\gamebase\subfoldername\games
gb didn't seem to like that.
i put it in the root directory and it works like a charm.
only one thing left.
i have 3 different emus on the disk. ccs64 v2; ccs64 v3 and winvice.
when i try to have gb autodetect these it only finds ccs64 v2.
any suggestions.
i have the most recent database btw.

Emulator recognition is solely based on the CRC32 values used in the setup. If the versions of either emulator not found are more recent than when GB64 came out, they won't be picked up. You can update yourself by finding the CRC32 value for them and altering a couple of the setup INI files (can't remember which ones offhand).

There is no reason you can't use a subdirectory for game files. That is the way it is supposed to work.
To update the Wizard, edit the gemus.dat file in the "GB v02" folder (or whatever it is called) under GameBase using notepad.
Add the lines:
¬WinVICE v1.16¬http://www.viceteam.org/¬¬x64.exe¬10F9C ... ¬vice.ini¬
¬CCS64 v3.0b DirectX¬http://www.ccs64.com/¬Beta 1.5¬CCS.EXE¬582EEEDD¬D64;T64;PRG;P00;P01;G64;G41;CRT;TAP¬Y¬CCS64_v30b_DirectX.txt¬C64.CFG¬
and it will then autodetect those 2 emus.
