Can someone post the latest version of ZXgamebase on rapidshare please. I dont know why people only continue to post it on emule. Emule is crap and takes a week to download anything there.
Rapidshare is free and you can upload files there.

hi
To upload the complete GBZX would take about a week to upload to Rapidshare, as it is HUGE with all the extras. (several DVDs of magazine scans)
also it would need splitting into 100meg parts.
However if you only want the the TZX games plus screen shots.??
something could be arranged.
i have my own version (still needs some work.)
all games complete with links.
but not all info for programmers etc.
and another version about 200meg on a CD somewhere.
which has certain copyrighted games missing.
PM me!!
and i will get back to you when i get a free moment.

GamebaseZX
Hi .mad.
All I want is the games and screenshots. I am not fussy about the extras. Perhaps you could upload the gamebasezx if its not to big with the just the games and screenshots to rapidshare or megaupload or somewhere like that.
Many Thanks in advance.

ok these last posts are a bit confusing...
1) How is this related with this: http://www.gb64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12472#12472
2) Is this different than the version I mention in that post or the version posted in that post, or is it different from both?

I have started working on a NEW WOS Gamebase.
which has 9377 games listed with 7746 linked so far.
with thousands of in game and loading screen shots.
all Dates and Company Names Added.
if anyone wants to help add some data using Microsoft Access.
(just so easy to cut and paste).
AY Music
RZX Video
MAP Screens
Programmers Name
or add anything of value.
please get in touch!
i can do it alone, but it might take a few years.
Thanks.

number of entries difference ??
the fixed version (seems) to have less entries (6219) than the prev (broken?) version (7100).
Is this correct?
Regards,
Arthur.

i don't know which version you have with the 7100 entries.
but the one linked by hillelr (above post) only has 6219.
unless your counting some of the 854 original commodore 64 tapes in extras.
which i removed from the SPECTRUM gamebase.
if you use the Tools/Verify Available Files... option
you will also see all the other c64 related files have been removed.
but if you have a version with 7100 games all linked and available?
i would love to see it.

???
well, the 7100 ver is the original ver that was available on emule as a download.
It was linked to and mentioned from this fine forum originally.
I have deleted the old .mdb but I am sure I have that specific file as a archive on dvd somewhere.
I will look into this tomorrow, as I 'thought' that until this new version became available, the one I had (whilst missing DVDs of magazine scans etc - I would love a full set of those!) was a "at that point" current and full ZX gamabase collection.
Hillier (spelling) was the author of the verison I had prev, so perhaps a comment would be forthcoming?
Regards,
Arthur.
PS, I got the magic number of 7100 by looking at the total number of games listed by drop down within the gamebase frontend.
I also looked a the 'classics' list inthe same location - and there is a difference of 2! titles.
BTW, my message is *not* a criticism. I am a 'nearing' 40 year old 'old school' guy who remembers the whole zx80 *appearing on the shelf* experience. Gamebase (and emulation, archiving, magazine scanning, etc) is a personal passion. I applaud the time and commitment from anyone who gives their precious time to peoples such as myself.
