GBPlayer - interest in an update to work with 1.3 db's?

Discuss any other databases that use the GameBase Frontend, whether in pre development, development or publically released.

GBPlayer - interest in an update to work with 1.3 db's?

Wed Aug 25, 2010 5:06 pm

Hi

I've just been having a look on underground gamer - and there are a load of gamebase databases on there.

I noticed that User42 has also uploaded an updated skin/theme pack for gbplayer - which have actually had some downloads.

James Burrows has been working on Gamebase 1.3 (and changed some database fields etc) - (infact I sent some code based on the plugins for GBPlayer - which might make it a later gamebase release).

This post is really just to gauge the interest in me updating GBPlayer so it will work with databases (and 7zip etc) for gamebase 1.3.

Thanks

AAG

PS - The existing gbplayer website (with screenshots) is here -

That would be a good idea, the latest GB is very good, but it looks very plain compared to gamebase player.

That sort of answer (and response) explains why there are so many people posting in this forum regularly!

No offence was meant mate. I only have a few minutes to post things each weekday, and that was the easiest response for me to give.

FWIW, these boards do not see a storm of activity as they are specifically concerned with GB. Because of this almost studious air, the posts on GB64 are a bit dry. There are machine specific boards that see a whole lot more activity and a whole lot more fun than GB64.

Perhaps I over reacted, sorry!
I don't think GB Player would be any good for me anyway, as I have the Atari/Amstrad and N64 GB's installed, and can't see a GB player for these?
