How can cart ROM(s) be used as extras? How do you determine the address locations for the ROM(s) that way? It seems that cart ROM(s) as the standard makes more sense, although it is a lot more work.

you are probably right......

but i am having some problems renaming the carts in the tosec archive i have.

some carts work , some do not.

have about 100 carts that work at this point(as first choice),
(rest is pgr files (as first choice) and if there is nothing else,, TAP files(as first choice).about 450 games up and running in total.

could some one please help me with the rename issue of the carts?

greets :D

i will discribe the problem with renaming cartridge files.

i have the cart(tosec 0.14)collection and the files in it have the extension:

a0 / 20 /60 ,
so a file is for instance a a0 file.if i run these carts directly from winvice they run ok !.

but via gamebase it is unrecognisable .....

if you put the start adress in the filename and rename the file with the crt extension then it doesn't work either

if i make a pgr file of it with the start adress in it it does not work either.

and i DO use the key=value, so cart=a0 (or a000)

the example here is named:Number Crunch(1982)(Spectravision).a0

file not found,,err53 when renamed to CRT

maybe the solution is simple, please tell me :D

greets

Hmm, dunno if you know about this or if this info would be helpful, but maybe for games and stuff, one could start grabbing them from here @ The Games Archive...?
