GB64 Recommended Games...

Airborne Ranger
J2003C says: This game has a nice ballance between action and strategy. It's difficult, but you can finish the game if you practice enough. There's plenty of variety to keep you coming back for more.

Double Dragon III - The Rosetta Stone
Neo-Rio says: This C64 port of the arcade game turned out to be the best two player side scrolling beat'em up ever done for the C64, in my opinion. Make sure you bring a friend in.

Demon Stalkers - The Raid on Doomfane
J2003C says: If you liked Gauntlet in the arcade and were disappointed with the C64 conversion, then try this one. Everything here seems better, there are lots of extras, and it is actually possible to finish the game (at least get to the end) without cheating!

Suicide Express
Neo-Rio says: Fondly remembered for it's Bladerunner-esque music and the sythesized voice which tells you your score when you die. I don't understand why the author made many clones of it, the game is a bit average.

Nick Faldo's Championship Golf
Neo-Rio says: This golf game was comparable to Leaderboard in its technical brilliance, even surpassing it in some areas. Arguably one of the best golf games on the C64.

International Basketball
graveyardjohn says: A great two player game from 1984, I played this with my brother for ages. Easy to play, but also easy to foul and cause penalties to be awarded.

Hook
Neo-Rio says: This is a film-license adaption, and a really spiffy one it is too. Very console-esque and playable, especially for younger players.

Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders
Neo-Rio says: This is one brilliantly animated adventure game, made by Lucasfilm who also did Labyrinth and Maniac Mansion. Resuce the planet from the brainwashing aliens!

Mail Order Monsters
J2003C says: M.O.M. takes Archon into the realm of an RPG. Customize your monsters, fight when strong, run when weak and you'll always be coming back for more.
