Enforcer - Fullmetal Megablaster
Neo-Rio says: Next to Armalyte, this has got to be one of the best blasters on the 64. Made by the people who did Turrican, no less.

Citadel
Neo-Rio says: Not a widely known game, but one that is loads of fun anyway. You have to blast your way around an area full of defenses and get to the exit.
|
Montezuma's Revenge
Neo-Rio says: Hugely playable platform game. Go crazy collecting all that gold in the huge pit at the bottom of the pyramid. This is one really, really fun game. See if you can do all 9 levels...

Arkanoid - Revenge of Doh
Matt Larsen says: Another game I downloaded from a 1200 baud modem back in the 80's. I was so hooked on this game that when I downloaded it I stayed up ALL NIGHT in order to beat it (and this was a trained version I was playing!)

BC's Quest for Tires
Steve says: Hehe, still love that one. Kind of Prehistoric Jungle Hunt and great fun!
|
Galax-i-Birds
Neo-Rio says: A simple game plagued by crazy-sprite-o-rama. Yep, it's that oldskool game design technique where every new level gives you something weird to shoot at. Fortunately the music is fun and randomly generated. Jeff Minter would be proud.

Nonterraqueous
Jimbo says: For a £1.99 budget game, this rocked! Great little multi-screen shoot'em-up, that has a cool melodious tune to listen to whilst you play!
|
Slicks
Neo-Rio says: Codemasters released many of these overhead racing games, but this is surely one of the best. This one screams at you to play it over and over.
|
Frank Bruno's Boxing
Neo-Rio says: Nintendo's old "Punch Out" game gets the Commdore 64 clone treatment. The result is actually quite impressive (and includes the obligatory Rocky tune), although some of the boxers get nigh impossible later on.
