GB64 Recommended Games...

Battle Valley
Neo-Rio says: Two missiles are going to be launched and it's a race against time to stop it from happening. Think Defender crossed with Silkworm, and you may have an idea of how this game plays.

Heart of Africa
Neo-Rio says: Much like "Seven Cities of Gold", this game differs in that we're in Africa this time... As always, you're trying to track down treasure of some kind. Prepare for a grand adventure!

Agent USA
J2003C says: Arcade action, strategy, geography lessions and a little luck make this game super fun. Harvest 100 crystals while fighting off thieves and traveling the USA in search of the FuzzBomb. Easier for US players due to the geography.

ThunderCats - The Lost Eye of Thundera
Neo-Rio says: I can't say I liked the cartoon that much, but this game is quite fun and a bit frustrating. I dunno how this cartoon's theme tune found its way into "Bomb Jack II" though - that was just weird.

Bobby Bearing
Neo-Rio says: A classic on the Spectrum, the C64 version is not very different. An addition of a jolly music score will inspire you to find all the bearings across a "Marble Madness" inspired world.

Driller
Neo-Rio says: Dark and eerie 3D adventure, with some brilliantly atmospheric music. Some puzzles are a bit tough though, and placing the drills in the right places isn't easy either.

Xybots
Neo-Rio says: Although largely a disappointment on the C64 (thanks to the Spectrum look and feel), the game is still somewhat fun. It's like Gauntlet in 3D, and once you get used to the controls - you may have a blast.

Echelon
J2003C says: This isn't a great flight sim, but is an ok shoot'em up. Better to play the puzzle/exploration part of the game and find the clues to reveal the secret of the planet, which can take several days to complete.

Donald Duck's Playground
Neo-Rio says: How do you make a game that girls will play endlessly? Put in some likeable characters, silly tasks, money, and shopping for junk you don't need. Sounds much like my own life though - minus Donald Duck.
