Great.
DemobaseZX should to have date when stuff was taken from zxaaa, because that site updates regularly: Demobase ZXAAA 2010-09-01, or something like. Besides demos itself zxaaa contains "intro" and "gifts", wich are kindred to demos in some mean and would be good to include them too in DemobaseZX.
More recent version of spectaculator you may find if type vtrdos in google.

Hi Nekto,
Glad you like it.
All the GIFTS are already included in the demobase.
you will find them all at the top of the gamebase list.
[GIFT] Name of Demo.
i don't intend to update this demobase further,
it was only created by a request from you.
maybe Sjakie43 will update it later on,
he's more of a demo freak than me.

Spectrum have many demos, its popularity in Eastern Europe, Britain and Spain is similar to Commodore 64 in USA. Golden era of 8-bit homebrew is finished, so 95% of significant Russian demos should to be in the current release; Poland, Czech and Spain crews may to have something else, but scarcely it's new and different in essence.
Yes, have foud them now. Intros are left outside, but they are not so important..mad. wrote:All the GIFTS are already included in the demobase.

most of these demos are only available due to emulators and sites like zxAAA, as not many people would have owned a Pentagon this side of Russia.

When I try running any of the demos, I get
"Invalid file referenced in script function. Do you want to continue running the game anyway?"
If I click yes, a window pops up with "tape loader" highlighted. This is when trying to use Unreal. If I use Spectaculator the demos run fine (after switching modes).
I ran the update you posted. Any idea why this is coming up?

or Gamebase is not in the defaut location.
edit the emulators.ini file.
make sure the script can read the unreal-p1.ini file from your preferred emulator / Gamebase location.
1=C:\Program Files\GameBase\Demobase zxAAA\Emulators\unreal\unreal-p1.ini
this will fix the error for every other gamebase as well.

Re: Demobase zxAAA
Is anyone interested in a huge update to this ZX DemoBase?.
10,899 demos.
if at least 10 people say yes on here.
It WILL happen.
